A monk saki monkey (Pithecia monachus) in the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. This unusual primate is a strange and uncommon sight in the depths of the Amazon rainforest where it lives well hidden by its mottled gray fur which serves to camoflage while hanging on the trunk of a tree. Its range includes forested regions of Brazil, Columbia, Ecuador and Peru.
